What’s open and what’s closed on Thanksgiving in Minnesota?

MINNEAPOLIS — Are you running out to get a last-minute Thanksgiving dinner ingredient? Here’s what’s open and closed on Thanksgiving in Minnesota.
Grocery stores like Lunds and Byerlys, Trader Joe’s and Aldi will be closed on Thanksgiving. Kowalski’s will also be closed.
Big-name stores like Target, Walmart, Costco are also closed for the holiday.
However, Whole Foods will be open until 1 p.m., and Cub Foods will also be open, but expect limited hours.
Most CVS stores are open on Thanksgiving, though the pharmacy is closed. The pharmacy and clinic will reopen on Friday.
Walgreens pharmacy is closed for the holiday.
Post offices will be closed and there’s no mail service on Thursday. Many FedEx and UPS stores will also be closed.
All state, local and federal offices are also closed, as well as banks and public schools.
Metro Transit will be operating on its Sunday and Holiday schedule for Thanksgiving. Northstar trains and Northstar Link will not be operating.
